Google announced its fall lineup of Pixel phones today: three standard phones and a second tablet-esque folding model. There are new chips, new cameras, Satellite SOS, and some notable promises, like the 9 phones being “twice as durable” as their Pixel 8 equivalents and getting seven years of updates. But as you might expect this year, they’re primarily showcases for all the things Google’s Gemini AI promises to do for you.
I am sure it will be great with Graphene running on it.

I consider AI an device Aliment not a benefactor.
I want dumb phone, dumb computer, dumb car, and a dumb fridge. If i want AI i will go buy a Nvidia accelerator card
I just disable even majority of Google’s apps from my phone(except for Maps and Play Store). Google will then nudge people into subscribing for Gemini Advanced after purchasing a flagship Pixel.

You have plenty of options. Why are you here?
I think I would have been more enticed to buy if the first thing I didn’t see was “AI”. I’m done with the AI hype. It’s okay. It’s nothing groundbreaking. Meh.
Also the price is way too high where I’m at. I’ll stick with the 6 pro for the next iteration. Or the next after that.
I can only conceptualize “pro” meaning “large” in the “large, and in charge” sense.
Shitty processor, lacking features, upsold AI subscriptions, server side photo and videography (AI boost my ass) and a high price for almost always shitty hardware. Get a Samsung or even an iPhone, Pixels are just not worth it.
