Firebrand Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert abandoned her re-election bid in western Colorado to move her family across the state and run in an entirely new, more conservative district. She won the primary, and the race is considered a GOP lock – but local Democrats insist there is a silent majority hoping for a shock upset

If there’s a silent majority, they’ve never bothered voting before now, so I don’t see an upset happening.

She’s not a fucking firebrand. Nobody goes “Oh, Boebie is making a speech its hype time!” Nobody is revolting over what she says and does. She is stirring nothing but her own pot of bad reputation. Firebrands inflame things in a way that leads to action, and not just the action of busting a nut during a theatrical performance.

More along the lines of “That one bullhorn that always screeches and the trigger is stuck on so you have to undo the battery” brand Lauren Boebert …

Carpet bagging beetle juicer. I hope the local Dems are right. She is a bigot and an embarrassment.

Oh right right didn’t she play with her boyfriend at a family event? Shouldn’t that have landed them on a sort of list???

Hypocrisy, inappropriate sex situation, playing the victim, and false outrage? It did land her on a list: The ideal Republican candidate list

I’m in her old district, she wouldve lost here. The new district next door is a little more red but she is personally not very popular anywhere around here. She very well may have worn out her welcome completely.

I’m in her new district, and I don’t see many yard signs for her out here. I, for one, am excited to vote against her.

I kept wondering how the absolute scumbags of Congress keep getting reelected and then this comes along… Of course. She would normally get kicked out of Congress but she keeps moving so she can continue to be a piece of shit that never goes away…

That’s how Darrell Issa got back too after his district finally got tired of his shenanigans. He moved to a more racist red area.

Calverese raised nearly five times the amount Boebert did between July and September 30, a whopping almost $2.7m in contrast to the congresswoman’s $532,000.

“Keep in mind, actually the highest percent of voters in this district are unaffiliated,” she adds, noting that she’s “absolutely” targeting that bloc. “So people are thinking beyond the party paradigm … we’ve been doing meet-and-greets all throughout the district

At the very least I’m cool with not having her as my rep anymore, wish it was in a ‘getting out of politics’ context but I’ll take what I can get.
