Definitely Laios from Delicious in Dungeon. I didn’t even realise he’s supposed to be weird, his actions seemed very reasonable and normal to me. Something clicked in my head after the nightmare flashback that he actually displays a lot of autistic traits.

I’m currently re-watching Atypical. Sam is about 95% me. I get him so much. Like, everything he does and says makes complete sense to me. It’s almost exactly how I think and behave, but maybe I’m a little more fluid with movement and less reactive in the moment. I’m doing the re-watch with a friend, and during every single episode, I’m saying, “I’ve done that!”

Watching the show is validating as all heck, and I love seeing it from the 3rd person view because it helps me develop insight as to why people often react or treat me a certain way. From my 1st person view, I’m often confused as to why there is any confusion or misunderstanding since I’m so blunt and direct. But, the 3rd person perspective helps me see it as I would imagine an NT would because I have an idea of how TV characters are expected to act. The difference between the two then becomes obvious to me. It also helps me understand why a lot of people don’t get me. I love it!
