Let’s not blame minorities for what was clearly the blame of white people.
“This is why Trump got elected” is why Trump got elected.
It wasn’t even a month ago that people were freaking out about young black men defecting to the Republican Party. You had Obama running around all the states Harris lost, trying to shame black voters for a Trump vote they never cast. You had news media blaming black Muslims of being responsible for their own persecution. Just a tidal wave of anger at black Americans for not doing enough to help Harris win.
They ended up being her biggest supporters, while all the white cable news heads and Hawk Tuah podcast listeners and AM Radio addicts were the ones defecting from the party.
Lots of white Trump voters or white vote abstainers downvoting.
Mistakes were made.
Mistakes by the campaign specifically.
My point is this post is bigoted against a minority, allegedly by another minority.
At least I am calling out the white idiots as a fellow white idiot.
That being said, the rightwards pivot on the border, trying to get the never Trumpers (who apparently still voted for Trump by the same margin in 2020 and that’s after January 6th), and the prince of warcrimes himself, Dick Cheney. Yeah. That is your problem. Plus ignoring the genocide.
One final point being, Republicans don’t have a monopoly on Racism or Misogyny unfortunately and those Democrats probably stayed home…
Lots of people who think “hot take” as a preface really just means “I’m about to say some dumb shit that I don’t want to be held socially accountable for”, more like.

Side note - did the definition of “hot take” change in recent years? I thought it used to mean “this is my first reaction without taking the time to look deeply” then suddenly it became “here’s my unpopular opinion.”
Was I ever right? Or was it always used like it is today?
Thanks for the intelligent contribution to the conversation.
Something like 65% of white men and 40% of white women voted for Trump. They account for about 61% of the population so by definition are the majority of the voting population.
What is really going on is called divide and rule.

Trump supporters are the correct blame recipients.
I agree with this statement.
“This is why Trump got elected” is why Trump got elected.

The individual is the smallest minority, and there are a long line of individuals who fucked up.
Rather than learning from their mistakes, they’d like to label their critics “bigots”.
Dems repeating this to themselves so they can justify doing nothing for the next four years.

Oh sure the majority of the majority race voted for Trump, must be the Latinos’ fault.
Makes sense.
Blame is not zero sum
But replying to the thread is the sunk cost fallacy.
How did you say “clearly the blame of XYZ” and immediately say “I don’t know the exact numbers” in the very next sentence?
You must have been dropped as a baby.

I have no idea what you’re talking about or who Ben Shapiro is. Just say it simply.
