You are completely correct and normalizing gun violence is a way to justify not restricting access.

Prepared to be roasted alive for this opinion but studies (undoubtedly of white, middle class, US undergrads) seem to indicate women find clutter and messes more psychologically distressing than men do.

I’m a man but I’ve had many deadbeat guys as roommates and I am definitely far more bothered by messes and clutter than they were so I kind of get this.

If you are the “mind it more” person, you will find yourself rage cleaning because the other person can wait you out as long as they want if they are taking you for granted and not concerned you’ll leave over this.

So there are two toxic traits here:

1. A willingness to wait out chores even if you know it’s angering people you are with.

2. A kind of willful blindness. “Honestly, I didn’t think it was that bad.”

The second one might be worse.

The first is excusable (plausible deniability) with the “men are oblivious” defense if the aggrieved party is not being overt in their request that a chore be done.

The second is a person (some women obviously do this, too) refusing to learn to empathize and recognize when things are getting to the point where it’s bothering the other person. From an interpersonal perspective this is probably more infuriating over the years.

Back when Trump was running for 2016, my brother (really into finance) said “he wants to keep his interest rates low” because he (everyone who cared) knew Trump was heavily leveraged. This was before all the other crazy tendencies came to light, of course.

This is my go-to example for “you guys have no idea what is going on”.

I had a cancer removed from my ear and they bandaged it a lot like this? There are two primary means if bandaging an ear and they both look ridiculous. I have no doubt he got them to “make it look like a big deal” but you are not slapping a bandaid on that and calling it a day, right?

He could have been nicked or he could have caught it on a sharp point bending down or he could have cut it with a fingernail.

My money is on the fingernail. He’s probably on blood thinners. He’s probably got thin, brittle skin. He probably clawed at his ear when the bullet whizzed by.

He could easily have nicked it. A nick can bleed like crazy and also heal very fast.

I’m pretty sure I learned more about the US government growing up in Canada than a lot of US citizens. We had Schoolhouse Rock on tv with our Saturday morning cartoons (I’m old) and studied the US federal government structure for a few weeks in middle school.

He probably barks out a “ha” sometimes but joylessly. I mean maybe be if he screwed over some orphans we get a belly laugh?

It will be nice when Trump has Lavrov over, only allows Russian journalists to cover the meeting, and reveals a bunch of classified info. True patriots want that. Right?

Everyone thought Biden was too old anyway but some undecided voters think Trump is “smart”.

Also, if you immigratted or your parents did, he just called you or your parents rapists, escaped convicts, mental patients, and terrorists.
