minus-squarerowrowrowyourboat@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up16arrow-down4·15 hours agoSerious question: How is this poetry? Isn’t this just prose formatted in a weird way?
minus-squareYingwu@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up15arrow-down2·12 hours agoProse can be poetry too. I don’t get why people should always want to criticize poetry, or art, for not being “proper”. Poetry is there to reach inside the heart and to make you feel something. Nothing less, nothing more.
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1arrow-down3·10 hours agoIt sure makes me feel something. I doubt the author wanted me to feel that way lol.

minus-squareCarbonatedPastaSauce@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up7arrow-down2·14 hours agoHow is it not poetry? Did you feel anything when you read it?
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down10·13 hours agoThat formatting is the worst, cudos to the enormous blanks too, wtf.
minus-squareYingwu@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up4arrow-down1·12 hours agoPoetry is both the sound and the silence. Without the silence and the breaks, there can’t be any poetry.
minus-squareValmond@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up2arrow-down6·edit-211 hours agoSure, but this is not poetry spaces, it’s just badly cut up text IMO. You think it is done intentionally? Like some post modernist style?
